Sisältö« Takaisin edelliselle sivulle 15.1.2013 Master planningA master plan is drawn up to generally steer the community structure and land use of the municipality. The master planning process is regulated by national goals of land use, goals of the regional plan, and the Land Use and Building Act. Master planning is made in order to realise desired community developments in a controlled manner. The master plan can be drawn up only to apply to certain parts of the municipality or to certain functions, for example, traffic, in which case the plan is referred to as a component master plan. Information about pending and legally valid master plans and component master plans can be found by using the Plan search (in Finnish). Information about pending master plans can also be found on the Turku region map service. Click Detailed search - City plans - Future city plans. The master plan logos appear red. The plans are available only in Finnish.
