Upper Secondary School Forum:

Minna Arve, the Chair of the City Board challenged the students of upper secondary schools to think about the future of Turku in a roundtable forum organised by the City Of Turku. The issue is particularly relevant now as Turku is preparing its new urban strategy for the years 2013 to 2016.

The Pharmacy Museum and The Handicrafts Museum reopen their doors

Two of Turku's most beautiful museums have reopened their doors for summer. Luostarinmäki Handicrafts Museum's wedding and bridal theme brings love and romance to its surroundings, while love's passion is the focus of the exhibitions and events at the Pharmacy Museum and Qwensel House during the summer.

Based on the papers presented at the Finnish Urban Studies Days in Turku, the factors that play a central role in the creation of interesting urban spaces are the creating of a successful image and the public’s own initiatives.
